Hi! I’m Judy.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMCH) who continues to be enchanted with the ways each child and individual senses and responds to the world. As our life journeys unfold, at times we may need more protected spaces where we can access the power of the arts and play and receive extra support.
Play is a bridge between our internal experience and outer reality where we can organize our inner self concepts that may conflict with our externalized behaviors.
Through creativity and expressive arts, we can transform materials, engage our inner systems with sensory inputs of our own making, and thus continue to activate the ability to be our own agents of change.
With a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and neurodiverse–affirming approach, together we will find our way to being ourselves with each other. With the nurturing ingredients of attention and attunement in combination with determining external supports best suited for each context, I believe we can all discover healthier and more resilient ways of self-expression, understand more deeply the parts of ourselves that we’ve disavowed and create more satisfying connection with self and others.
