Hi! I’m Judy.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMCH) who continues to be enchanted with the ways each child and individual senses and responds to the world. As our life journeys unfold, at times we may need more protected spaces where we can access the power of the arts and play and receive extra support.

Play is a bridge between our internal experience and outer reality where we can organize our inner self concepts that may conflict with our externalized behaviors and harmonize our brain and body energies.

Through creativity and expressive arts, we can transform materials, engage our inner systems with sensory inputs of our own making, and thus continue to activate the ability to be our own agents of change.

With a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and neurodiverse–affirming approach, together we will find our way to feeling good in our own bodies and being ourselves with each other. I will work with you and/or your child to increase self-awareness, notice patterns, and consider the dynamics that led to a way of adapting in the world. As we identify interventions and determine external supports appropriate for each context, I believe we can all access healthier and more resilient ways of self-expression, understand more deeply the parts of ourselves that we’ve disavowed and nurture more satisfying connection within self and with others.
